Pine Marten in the Treetops

A Pine Marten I captured at the top of a tree in wonderful Shoal Bay on East Thurlow Island, B.C. While my fiance and I sat and watched this little marten at the top of the tree (sadly before I had my camera) we watched as a bossy raven flew across the bay and knicked the marten out of the tree causing it to fall to lower branches. The marten grasped the branches quickly and held on tight. Then decided to stay sheltered amongst the canopy for a while to relax after such a stressful incident.
